Obituary for Leslie Mindel

MINDEL, Leslie J.

Of Hamburg, NY, July 12, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Nora (nee Schadel) Mindel; loving father of Bill (Charlene) and Dave (Sandra) Mindel; cherished grandfather of Shawn (Kimberly), Aaron (Kristi), Michael (Jessica Charest) Mindel, and Jeannene (Neal) Kesler; great-grandfather of Travis, Brody, Ava, and Quinn Mindel, Mackenzie and Josie Kesler, Nathaniel and Andrew Mindel, and Mikey Sonsini; brother of the late William, Kenneth, Wilford Mindel, Loretta (late Ray) Amann, and Esther (late Irving) Klopfer; also survived by relatives and friends. The family will be present on Friday July 21st for a Memorial Gathering from 11-1PM at the (Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC. 3450 South Park Ave., and where Military Honors will follow at 1PM. Leslie spent two years in the Aleutians during World War II as an Infantry Corpman. He was a proud Army veteran and member of the Leonard VFW Post #6251 Leslie worked for 40 years at Trico as a Foundry Worker. He was an avid golfer and bowler for 31 years after retirement.
